WHY DO WE NEED ANOTHER ORGANIZATION?
Many neighborhood and business associations have great ideas, yet limited resources, or have projects that cross beyond their defined boundaries limiting potential impact, participation, and funding. Many individuals and organizations are challenged by insufficient support and help is needed to foster more inclusive, collaborative approaches.
Having a larger nonprofit can help access grants and other financial resources, and connect neighborhoods and business districts to scale up their efforts.
WHAT IS THE VALUE OF THE COALITION?
Being able to work together across boundaries and leverage shared resources (volunteers, funding, outreach, bigger scale projects).
Helping neighborhood and business associations collaborate together to get the funding and resources that they are not able to on their own.
Many hands make light work. Sharing skills and project collaboration supports knowledge transfer and community mentoring. and cross-pollination.
